“Taylor was our doula for the birth of our first baby in March. I couldn’t have done it without her. She provided such essential support, knowledge and reassurance. Her encouragement through each contraction made a difference in how I handled labor. Taylor helped me work through my fear so I was able to look forward to birth. I wanted to birth without medication and with my own strength and with Taylor’s encouragement, I was able to do so.
Taylor was available 24/7 by call or text. She remained by the phone at the ready when we went to the hospital early thinking something was wrong. She stayed in contact with me during my long pre-labor, providing support and suggestions. She dropped everything and showed up so quickly when true labor began.
I really valued how Taylor supported my husband. As first-time parents, it would’ve been a lot on him to be the only support person. She was able to model confident support for him and help us decide when to go to the hospital.
